Following a high-octane clash against Pakistan, Virat Kohli has once again reiterated his likeness to Babar Azam's off-field attitude.

Much debate gets underway to decide the best between Virat and Babar, but the reality is that both batters have carved their own niche to help their respective team prevail in international cricket.

Ahead of the Asia Cup 2022, the talented batters expressed their mutual admiration for each other's craft and match-winning abilities.

In a recent press conference, Indian stalwart reckoned Babar has been very polite and respectful since their first meeting in 2019.

"He's a great fellow, all of them are. Whenever I meet him. He's always very polite, He's very much a junior so I can't talk much about kinship there but he's eager to learn."

However, Virat did not get drawn into the relentless comparisons or picking similar characteristics between him and Babar.

Pakistan Clear favourites for Asia Cup 2022 Finals spot

Riding on the brilliance of bowlers and the duo of Mohammad Rizwan-Mohammad Nawaz, Pakistan secured a thumping victory by five wickets against India on Sunday.

The crucial win against a strong team like India, would keep them ahead to book a Finale spot in the ongoing tournament.

The Men in Green will now lock horns with Afghanistan on Wednesday (September 7) in their second Super-Four fixture. It is expected to be a mouth-watering fixture, with Afghanistan striving hard to remain alive in Asia Cup 2022.
