Asia cup 2022: Ravindra Jadeja ruled out of the squad

In a recent development from the Indian camp, star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the remainder of the Asia Cup 2022 due to an injury.

Currently under the BCCI's medical supervision, Jadeja has reportedly sustained a right knee injury and has been ruled out of the tournament. 

Jadeja has been a crucial player in the squad, in the first clash against Pakistan, Jadeja proved to be a pillar for the team, scoring 35 off 29. In the second clash against Hong Kong he scalped one wicket in 4 overs, while giving away only 15 runs. 

Axar Patel named as the replacement 

The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Axar Patel as Jadeja's replacement. Axar Patel was earlier named as one of the standbys in the squad and will join the team in Dubai soon.
