Hardik Pandya who recently shone in the Asia Cup clash between India and Pakistan has lavished praise on the Indian management for their treatment towards him. The all-rounder had been an inconsistent name in the squad following a back injury sustained at the Asia Cup 2018.

Alongside Ravindra Jadeja, Pandya stitched a partnership of 52 runs while also contributing a total of 3 wickets in 4 overs in the Asia Cup clash against Pakistan.

What Pandya had to say

"It has never been the case that I wouldn’t want to show what I have; Actually I have been in and out of the team, but to see the respect and value they  (Indian management) have given me is incredible. That always helps me perform better. The kind of mindset we are coming from, the players are much more relaxed."

The all-rounder was taken off the field in a stretcher in the same tournament in 2018, against the same opponent. And in the Sunday clash he once again proved why he deserves a place in India XI.

Pandya has been performing with the bat as well as the ball, displaying his skills and cancelling out all the critics. He also performed brilliantly as a captain in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL), driving his franchise Gujarat Titans to title victory in their inaugural season.
