It has now become cricket buffs' favourite pastime of comparing the two modern-day greats, Virat Kohli and Babar Azam. With both the batters arguably the best in their respective countries, it has become inevitable for the world to draw comparisons between the two.

There is not much time left for the high-voltage Asia Cup clash between India and Pakistan, and Virat and Babar will be pitted against each other, this time for real in the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Before the focus shifts to action, Rashid Khan, a spinner of another Asian team - Afghanistan, shared his experience of bowling to Virat and Babar. The spin maestro described how tough it is to bowl to the duo, however, he relishes the challenge.

'They won't spare a lose delivery'

"For me, both (Virat and Babar) are equally tough to bowl. The type of batters they are, they won't spare a lose delivery. So, for me, both are tough to bowl to, but I enjoy the challenge. There is no chance that I will bowl a loose ball to both of them. I will focus on bowling in the right areas but both are tough to bowl at," Rashid said as quoted to Pakistani journalist Sawera Pasha.

The 23-year-old also weighed on how bowling to these two batters has added to his experience. He, further, explained this by citing example of his playing days for Sunrisers Hyderabad, who also have Kane Williamson as their skipper.

"Bowling to Babar and Virat is fun and it has also been a great learning curve for me. For example, when I used to bowl to Kane Williamson at SRH, we had a lot of chat afterwards about my bowling. So, his output helped me a lot. I also had discussions with Virat in IPL, and the same goes with Babar too," he asserted.

Rashid's next challenge

The leggie will be seen in action as Afghanistan go head-to-head against Sri Lanka in the opener of the Asia Cup 2022, scheduled on August 27.
