India completes a white wash over Zimbabwe on their home turf. The 3rd and final match went down the line and India had to battle hard till the last over to win.

As the young Indian squad wins the series under the leadership of KL Rahul, let us take a look at the top five performances in the series.

5. Deepak Chahar (3 for 27 from 7 overs, 1st ODI)

Deepak Chahar made a strong comeback from injury with a brilliant bowling display in the first match of the ODI series. Opening the bowling for India, Chahar dismantled the Zimbabwean top order picking up 3 wickets in his first spell. His brilliant bowling spell gave the hosts a rude shock from which they failed to revive throughout the innings and just managed to score 189 runs in their innings. The Indian openers chased down the below par total without any trouble at all.

4. Shardul Thakur ( 3 for 38 from 7 overs, 2nd ODI)

If it was Chahar in the first match, it was Shardul Thakur in the second who dismantled the Zimbabwean batting lineup in the second match. Thakur picked up three wickets conceding just 38 runs from his 7 overs, helping India restrict the opposition to just 161 runs. India chased down the target losing just 5 wickets in just the 26th over of their innings.

3. Brad Evans ( 5 for 54 from 10 overs, 3rd ODI)

In the final match of the series, the Indian batters posted a total of 289 runs in their 50 overs. Where all the other bowlers of his team were going for runs, Brad Evans picked up 5 wickets for 54 runs in his 10 overs. It was a great bowling effort by Evans, but much to his disappointment it came in a losing cause.

2. Sikandar Raza ( 115 runs off 94 balls, 3rd ODI)

While chasing a big target of 290 runs, Sikandar Raza was the lone warrior for his team. While he lost partners at the opposite end, Raza stayed strong at one end and continued to keep the scoreboard ticking for his team. He scored 115 runs of 94 balls taking his team to a near victory. But his dismissal in the 49th over of the innings ensured that India snatched victory from the hands of defeat.

1. Shubman Gill (130 off 97 balls, 3rd ODI)

India won the toss in the last match and decided to bat first. Gill came in at number 3 for his team and played a special knock of 130 runs from 97 balls. His effort helped India reach a good total of 289 runs in the innings, which the opposition failed to chase down. Besides a match winning knock, he also held onto a fantastic catch of Sikandar Raza in the penultimate over of the match that ultimately turned out to be a crucial turning point in the match.
