Hosts Zimbabwe will lock horns with India in the second ODI of the three-match series in Harare tomorrow at 12.45 PM IST.

As expected earlier, India decimated the hosts in the first ODI by ten wickets, courtesy of a spectacular bowling performance and a match-winning opening stand between Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill. 

Zimbabwe were miserable with both bat and ball. Although skipper Regis Chakabva fought hard for his 51-ball 35, he lacked support at the other end. However, the late blitz by Brad Evans and Richard Ngarava brought some joy for the hosts and they would hope these lower order batters to contribute some handy runs down the order.  

Spotlight: Shubman Gill

Hailed as one of India's finest batting talents, Shubman Gill played some impactful knocks for the Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2022. 

Gill has been in sublime touch

The Punjab batter has exhibited incredible consistency recently, amassing 287 runs at an unbelievable average of 143.5 in his four ODI outings this year. He dominated the depleted Zimbabwean attack in the first game, which is why we consider Gill as our spotlight player for tomorrow's game. 

Key players

Shikhar Dhawan, the experienced Indian opener played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 81 runs in the first ODI. 

Regis Chakabva top-scored for Zimbabwe yesterday, scoring a patient 51-ball 35. 

Deepak Chahar dismantled Zimbabwe's top order in the last game with his tremendous swing bowling. The seamer recorded his career-best ODI figures of 3 for 27.
