'India looks different when Hardik Pandya is in full flow', says Lance Klusener


2022 has been a monumental year for India's Hardik Pandya. From winning the Indian Premier League (IPL) title with Gujarat Titans to leading the Indian national side, Pandya has showcased his leadership skills, apart from using the best of his abilities with both the bat and ball.

Former South African legend Lance Klusener has praised Pandya for his all-rounder skills and added that his inclusion in the side completes the Indian team.

"A fast-bowling all-rounder like Hardik Pandya adds glue to any white-ball side or to any cricket team. It's so good to have him back and is getting into the form we are accustomed to. The Indian team looks a different side when Hardik Pandya is in full flow," - Klusener said to Times of India.


Phenomenal Pandya in 2022

Since the beginning of 2022, Pandya has played 13 T20Is and three ODIs, scoring 281 and 100 runs, respectively. With the ball, he has claimed eight and six wickets as well.

The Baroda-born was appointed India's T20I captain during their Ireland tour, where the visitors' won a closely contested series 2-0. 


In the IPL, for the Titans', the 28-year-old scored 487 runs from 15 matches, while picking up eight wickets across the tournament. 

Overall, Pandya have represented India in 11 Tests, 66 ODIs, and 67 T20Is.

Pandya will be crucial for India's success in the upcoming marquee events — Asia Cup 2022 and ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
