England and Southern Brave pacer Tymal Mills is set to miss the remainder of the ongoing Hundred Men's competition after sustaining a toe injury.

Mills missed Brave's opening encounter in order to give himself some time to recover from the injury. However, despite returning to the field against Birmingham Phoenix on Wednesday, he couldn't put up an impactful performance, returning with figures of 0 for 33.

The 30-year-old was found to be struggling with his toe post that game and underwent surgery following the injury's assessment.

Injuries continue to affect Mills' career

Mills has had a history of unfortunate injuries, which have kept him away from the game and subsequently from the England team.

The defending champions Southern Brave will badly miss his services as he was one of their best bowlers last season, picking eight wickets, including a match-winning three-fer in the eliminator.

Southern Brave have got an underwhelming start to their Hundred 2022 campaign, losing two consecutive games after winning their opening encounter. With the likes of Chris Jordan, George Garton and Craig Overton having issues with their availability, Mills' injury has raised serious concerns in the Brave's camp.
