It is no secret that West Indies batters are some of the most destructive forces in T20 cricket across the globe. Former England skipper Eoin Morgan has praised the Windies duo of Andre Russell and Kieron Pollard for their six-hitting abilities that can surpass any boundary in the world.

Former KKR captain Morgan has played with Russell, and knows how brutal the all-rounder can be, when in his element.

"When everyone is struggling to hit over the boundary on the bigger side of the ground - the likes of Andre Russell and Kieron Pollard are the guys you pay the big bucks for because no long boundary is long enough for them, particularly when you're taking pace off the ball, they just seem to muscle it," - Morgan told Sky Sports

Kieron Pollard as a leader is brilliant: Morgan

Morgan, currently leading the London Spirit in The Hundred, lauded Pollard's leadership skills after their match against Manchester Originals last evening, which his side won by 52 runs.

Pollard contributed with an 11-ball 34 for Spirit, while Russell, representing the Originals, made just five runs before getting run out.

"Kieron just continues to get better and better, but his value as a leader within the group is brilliant as well."

Recent form of Pollard and Russell

Both Pollard and Russell have struggled to find form, after suffering with multiple injuries last year. Pollard, even went ahead and retired from international cricket, while Russell continues to attract eyeballs all over.
