Former West Indies captain Kieron Pollard became the only cricketer to play 600 T20 matches when he stepped onto the ground for The Hundred club London Spirit last evening (August 8).

Pollard achieved this milestone when Spirit clashed with Manchester Originals in the 100-ball competition at the Mecca of Cricket at Lord's.

He remained unbeaten on 34, coming off 11 balls in his side's 52-run victory over Originals.

Pollard made his T20 debut in 2006 and has since been in high demand across franchise leagues across the globe.

He is followed closely by fellow countryman and good friend Dwayne Bravo, who has 543 games under his belt.

His Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma is ninth on the list with 391 matches.

Talking about his milestone, Pollard said he never thought this was possible and will continue to give it his all going forward.

"It's an achievement in itself, 600 games in any format. I've never set out to play this many games or to play this format for this period of time, but it's something that came along and I've enjoyed it so far. Let's see what happens as I go forward. I'll continue to try and work hard and enjoy playing cricket with a smile on my face. As long as the body holds up, I'm going to see how long I can go."- Pollard was quoted by ESPNcricinfo

Pollard has scored 11,723 T20 runs, and picked up 309 wickets playing for clubs like Mumbai Indians, Adelaide Strikers, Karachi Kings, Trinbago Knight Riders and many more.
