Winning the previous match comfortably, Men in Blue continued their momentum to triumph in another one-sided affair.

After winning the toss, India decided to have a bat first on a wicket that looked batting friendly. The side made four changes to their XI, announced Hardik Pandya, who was made skipper for this match in place of regular captain Rohit Sharma who rested himself.

Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer formed the opening pair for this encounter, reaching 38 for their first wicket partnership. However, Kishan fell to Dominic Drakes in the 5th over for 11, whereas his partner went on to score 64 off just 40 deliveries, along with hitting two sixes and eight fours.

The second wicket partnership between Shreyas Iyer and Deepak Hooda lasted 76 runs before the latter perished for 38. After that, India's innings turned mediocre before Pandya went against Jason Holder in the 19th over, smacking him for two sixes and a four. In the end, the Asian side reached 188 losing seven wickets.

For the hosts, Odean Smith bowled brilliantly in the death with figures of 3/33 against a strong Indian batting line-up claiming the crucial wickets of Sanju Samson, Dinesh Karthik and Axar Patel.

Indian bowlers too good for the Windies

Chasing 189 to win in a dead-rubber encounter, West Indies' batters never looked comfortable against the India spin trio of Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi. As a result, the spinners picked all the ten wickets, which was the first time this happened in a T20I.

Men in Maroon lost the first wicket of Jason Holder for a duck, and later, Shamarh Brooks departed with 24 on the board. Then, with Patel doing most of the damage early on, Devon Thomas too disappeared, with Windies reeling at 33 for 3.

None of the batters except Shimron Hetmyer could score anything significant. Coming into bat at 4, Hetmyer (56) went to notch his fastest half-century off just 28 deliveries but couldn't revive the innings.

Ravi Bishnoi (4) and Kuldeep Yadav (3) did the rest to ensure the Windies barely managed 100. Furthermore, India's thumping of the Caribbean side resulted in their series victory by a comfortable margin of 4-1.

Brief Score:

India: 188/7 (20)

Shreyas Iyer 64 (40), Deepak Hooda 38 (25);
Odean Smith 3/33 (4), Dominic Drakes 1/24 (3)
