Both teams performed admirably in the inaugural season of the tournament last season. While Birmingham marched to the finals, Trent Rockets made it to the knockouts, only to lose from the eventual champions Southern Brave.

Both teams seem incredibly strong on paper, which is why we expect a nail-biter tomorrow.

Spotlight player: Liam Livingstone

Well, this man hardly needs any introduction.

Liam Livingstone was the wrecker-in-chief of Birmingham's stupendous campaign last season as he topped the run-getters' list with 348 runs at an insane strike rate of 178.46.

Since debuting in 2015, Livingstone has established himself as a fabulous asset in T20s, slamming 4332 runs at an impressive strike rate of 146.2. Although he is struggling with his form, we can't underestimate Livingstone considering the incredible all-round prowess he brings in to the table.

Pitch Report: Last two international games at the venue saw truckload of runs being scored. The average scoring rate at Edgbaston in international T20s has been found to be 8.09, suggesting the track's conduciveness for batting. The deck doesn't really slow down later, so the toss-winner will likely opt to chase to be on the safe side.
