After the announcement of a 15 member squad by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), fast bowling coach Allan Donald has signalled at possible chopping and changing in the team for the T20 World Cup later this October.

Keeping Bangladesh's recent performances in T20Is against New Zealand it might not be a surprise to see a few changes in the squad.

Who's in?

Left-handed batter Soumya Sarkar and left-arm fast bowler Shoriful Islam will most probably be included in the squad. Currently in the reserves the duo might be just make their way in, according to reports.

Allan Donald's thoughts on the topic

"I think there might be a chance that (15-member World Cup squad) could be changed and that is probably why they brought two extra guys with and we have that time, don't we? We have few more days to sort that out before we depart for Australia."

"Sriram is looking at a lot of combinations where he feels he needs to be accurate and especially tomorrow to have one more last look and see what he needs to do and find the right people to go and do their job, so it's never an easy thing. It's a contrast, trust me, as a coach sitting up there you are never sure what is the right combination,"

Who's out?

Sarkar is most likely to come in the place of Sabbir Rahman, who has been displaying below par performances since his comeback in the Asia Cup 2022.

One of either Mohammad Saifuddin or Ebadot Hossain might have to make their way out of the squad if Shoriful Islam comes in.
