The much-anticipated ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2026 Group B clash between Zimbabwe U19 and Scotland U19 at the Takashinga Sports Club has been delayed due to heavy rain. The downpour forced officials to postpone the toss, leaving the start of the match uncertain.

Zimbabwe, playing at home, are familiar with such wet conditions and will hope to use their local knowledge to gain an advantage. The home side will aim to post competitive total and exploit any assistance from the pitch may offer once play begins.

Zimbabwe U19 has been placed in Group B and will play the next match against England U-19 on January 18. After that, they will play against Pakistan U-19 on January 22.

Scotland, who qualified through the European Qualifier, face a tough challenge in these conditions. They have not defeated a Group C opponent at this stage since 2014. Captain Thomas Knight will rely on his young batters to provide solid starts if the match goes ahead.

The Scottish team will rely on players like Finlay Jonas, Ethan Ramsay, and George Cutler to put up a fight against the Zimbabwe U19.

Scotland U19 will play their next match against Pakistan U-19 on January 19. On January 21, Scotland will face England U19.
