The second Test between Zimbabwe and New Zealand turned out to be another tough game for the home side as the Kiwis registered a thumping win by an innings and 359 runs. It is their biggest win in Test cricket in terms of an innings and runs, and they have whitewashed Zimbabwe comprehensively.
Many players stepped up for New Zealand with some record-breaking performances. However, it was young Zakary Foulkes who grabbed the limelight with his superb performance on debut. The 23-year-old right-arm pacer who has 15 wickets in T20Is for New Zealand made full use of the red cherry in his hand, bagging four wickets in the first innings.

Three of those first innings wickets were of the likes of Sean Williams, Craig Ervine and Sikandar Raza, and Zimbabwe just could not recover from thereon. In the second innings, he picked a five-wicket haul, his first in Test cricket. Thus, he ended with match figures of 9 for 75 runs, and it is now the best bowling figures for a New Zealand cricketer on Debut in Test cricket.
He has surpassed Will O'Rourke, who also has nine wickets on his Test debut against South Africa while giving away 93 runs. The third in the list is Mark Craig, who picked 8 for 88 against the West Indies in 2014.
