Veteran Zimbabwe left-handed Sean Williams batter continued his imperious form on Thursday as he smashed yet another whirlwind century to kickoff his sides' Super-6 campaign against Oman in the ongoing ICC World Cup Qualifiers 2023.

Williams smashed 14 fours and 3 monstrous sixes to rack up a belligerent 103-ball 142 to guide the home side to an imposing total of 332/7 in 50 overs in Bulawayo.

Batting first, Zimbabwe was in a spot of bother at 46/2 in the 12th over when Williams decided to take the innings by the scruff of its neck.

He went on to add 64 runs for the 3rd wicket with Wesley Madhevere before accumulating another 112 with the in-form Sikandar Raza, who smacked a rapid 49-ball 42.

The southpaw brought up his 3rd ton (in just 81 deliveries) of the tournament in the 38th over before changing gears to hammer another 40 runs to take his tally to 142.

He was eventually dismissed in the 45th over, but a late flourish from Luke Jongwe (43* off 28) ensured that Zimbabwe finished with an imposing total of 332.

Williams has been in imposing form in the tournament thus far. In 5 games, he has hammered 532 runs at an unreal average of 133 and smacked runs at a strike rate of 148.60 with three centuries against his name.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe are in a poll position to make it to India for the main-event. The home side came into the Super-6 stage with 4 points already at its disposal, and if they win this game against Oman, they will have virtually one feet on the plain to India.
