The stage is set for a riveting grand finale in the Women's T20 World Cup as two dark horses of the competition, New Zealand and South Africa collide in an epic battle at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Not many gave the two teams a chance to sneak into the finals, but here they are battling to be crowned the first time World T20 champions. South Africa pulled off the upset of the tournament when they defeated Australia in the semis.
Meanwhile, New Zealand battled through a tensed game to overcome a resilient West Indian side to book a date with the Proteas women.
SA-W Vs NZ-W: Toss updates
South Africa won the toss and captain Laura Wolvaardt raised quite a few eyebrows by electing to bowl first. The wicket at this venue tends to slow down as the game progresses, but the Proteas are backing their chasing skills to pull off the win.
Interestingly, both the teams have all the players available and are going unchanged from their respective semi finale wins. New Zealand, on the other hand won't mind batting first, since that has been their strength in the tournament. Overall, both the sides will be happy with the decision making during toss.
