The first Test between Sri Lanka and Australia at the Galle International Stadium has not started on a bright note for the home team. The Australian batters made merry of good batting conditions and scored 330 runs at a loss of just two wickets before rain arrived to stop the play in the 82nd over.
Sri Lanka would now need to show lot of character to make their comeback in this Test, and one thing that can help them is rain. It is still early in the match, but if Australia continue to dominate in the same vein, the best Sri Lanka can do is to salvage a draw and some rain can help that in the process.
So, ahead of the start of Day 2, let's see the weather report for Thursday, 30th of January in Galle.
