In a significant development, the toss of the Pakistan vs Bangladesh encounter has been delayed due to rain. The high-voltage clash was set to take place at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
PAK vs BAN Delayed Due To Rain
Pakistan and Bangladesh have had forgettable Champions Trophy campaigns. Led by Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan lost to New Zealand before suffering a crushing defeat against arch-rivals India.
On a similar note, Bangladesh had a poor start to the tournament, losing their first match against India. They followed it up with another defeat, as New Zealand swatted them aside by five wickets.
Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium Weather Update
However, as both teams prepare for the dead-rubber, the weather in Rawalpindi doesn't look promising for a full-fledged encounter. As per the latest visuals, it's pouring down at the venue, with large doubts looming over the much-awaited clash.

According to AccuWeather, the chances of precipitation reads 74 per cent for the day. There could be 99 per cent cloud cover in the Rawalpindi skies, as there is serious doubt of a 50-over per side encounter.
Also, considering the drainage facilities at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, it won't be surprising if the match gets called off. It's worth mentioning that the venue witnessed a washed out fixture earlier when rain interrupted the proceedings in Australia's high-profile affair against South Africa.
Having said that, if this match gets abandoned due to inclement weather conditions, it won't have an impact on the Group-A standings. India and New Zealand have already qualified for the semis, while Bangladesh and Pakistan have been eliminated after two consecutive losses.
