The Bangladesh vs West Indies 2nd T20I encounter has been nothing less than a thriller for the fans. The match held at Arnos Vale Stadium was a spectacle as it started off as a low-scoring thriller. Opting in to bowl first, the Windies restricted Bangladesh to a modest total of 129 runs, but failed to reply with the bat. The Bangladeshi bowling lineup hunted Indies batters early and sealed the series win by 27 runs.

Gudakesh Motie was the pick of the West Indies bowlers as he chipped in with his two crucial wickets. However, the impressive all-round squad of the Windies also helped wind up Bangladesh's innings.

Hosein came up with the first scalp sending back skipper Litton Das in the third over. Meanwhile, Andre Fletcher pulled off a 'Dhoni-style-no-look-run-out' as he dismantled Soumya Sarkar soon after.

Gudakesh Motie (25-2) came in late with his chips as he dismissed struggling Rishad Hossain and Mahedi Hasan. Meanwhile, Obed McCoy and Roston Chase also contributed with their chips of Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Tanzid Hasan to add to Bangladesh's woes.

A late surge from Shamim Hossain propelled Bangladesh to a decent total of 129. Explosive Hossain smashed quickfire 35 off 17 and partnered with Tanzim Hasan Sakib for 41 runs in the late overs to boost Bangladesh's innings.

Hossain's knock was crucial as it helped Bangladesh fight off a total that was too low to start with. Notably, Hossain was also awarded the Player of The Match for his contributions.

WI vs BAN Highlights: Taskin Ahmed, Mahedi Hasan Crumbles Windies Top Order

Taskin Ahmed and Mahedi Hasan weaved their magic early as they got openers Brandon King, Andre Fletcher, and Johnson Charles in the first four overs. 

After the top order crumbled the middle order followed as Hasan bagged Nicholas Pooran in the 6th over, as Windies' hope was put to the ground at 32-4 at the end of the sixth over.

The only Windies batter who was trying to steer the chase was Roston. However, he was sent back to the pavilion with a hit-and-miss as Rishad Hossain bowled him out with a back-of-a-length delivery in the fourth ball of the 16th over. Hossain again got hold of Gudakesh Motie in the very next ball which created an opportunity for a hat-trick.

Though Alzarri Joseph stood firm to deny the hat trick, he soon fell to Sakib. Obed McCoy came in last but was scalped by Tasking Ahmed as Bangladesh sealed the historic maiden T20I series victory against West Indies.
