At the toss, the Bangladesh captain announced Mehidy Hasan Miraz's inclusion for Jaker Ali, while Hasan Mahmud also missed out due to a niggle.
Notably, Mehidy Hasan missed the first Test due to illness and his inclusion in the squad ahead of the Test eve gave a selection dilemma for the 2nd Test. However, as it is found, Miraz replaces Jaker Ali who didn't impress in the 1st Test and scored only 10 runs in his two innings.
Miraz's inclusion is crucial for Bangladesh as he strengthens the team in both the batting and bowling departments. In the last series against Zimbabwe, Miraz scored a century and also scalped two wickets which proved him handy and effective for the team in the 2nd Test.
