The Indian Premier League (IPL) is known for high-scoring encounters with teams reaching closer to 300-run mark on several occassions. It is a league where records are not only broken, but shattered with style. One such record which everyone talks about is the highest successful run-chases in IPL history.

In the ongoing IPL match between SRH and PBKS, the Punjab side led by Shreyas Iyer slammed  a gigantic 245/6 in their allotted 20 overs. The skipper himself scored 82 runs and Marcus Stoinis provided the finishing touches. Now, for SRH, they need a record 246 to win the game. However, will it be the highest successful run-chase if the Orange Army do achieve the target?.

Last season, Punjab Kings decimated the KKR side and chased down the highest successful run-chase as they eased past 262 with ease. In that game, Jonny Bairstow scored a brilliant hundred. RR make the list thrice as they chased down totals against Punjab, Kolkata and Deccan Chargers.

SRH cruising towards the target

Sunrisers lost their last 4 matches and needed to win this match to get their confidence back. However, things didn't go according to their plans as PBKS blasted a huge total and SRH needed a miracle to save the match.

In the chase, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma finally came to the party as the duo bludgeoned PBKS bowlers to all around the park and added 171 runs inside 12.2 overs as the target is at a touching distance at the time of writing.
