On Tuesday, April 8, Kolkata Knight Riders locked horns against Lucknow Super Giants at the Eden Gardens. It was a run-fest as 472 runs were scored in two innings. Notably, LSG, batting first, put 238 runs on the board, while KKR fell short by four runs in the 2nd innings. 

Besides the run-fest, the bowlers too were wayward with their line and length, as 35 extras were bowled in that match. Talking about extras, LSG bowled 22 extras and Shardul Thakur hogged the internet as he bowled an 11-ball over.

Shardul Joins Siraj In An Embarrassing List

Notably, Shardul started his fourth over of the night with five consecutive wides. It was a rare event as Shardul scripted embarrassment with that feat. 

Notably, 11 balls in a single over is the the joint-most by any bowler in the history of the cash-studded league. Shardul joined Mohammed Siraj and Tushar Deshpande, who too have bowled an 11-ball over in the IPL. 

Deshpande was the first bowler to bowl 11 balls in an over when he featured for CSK vs LSG in IPL 2023. In the same edition, Siraj also bowled an 11-ball over vs MI. Now, Shardul has achieved the same. Here is the complete list.
