While Sri Lankan supporters found unique ways to watch the game love, Sri Lanka’s bowlers brought the heat to make their supporters happy. New Zealand chose to bat after winning the toss, but things didn’t go as planned for the Kiwis.
Sri Lanka’s bowlers went straight for the jugular. By the 12th over, New Zealand is reeling at 68/6, with Matheesha Pathirana leading the charge by picking up two key wickets. Maheesh Theekshana, Nuwan Thushara, Dunith Wellalage, and Wanindu Hasaranga all chipped in with a wicket each and showed that this bowling unit means business.
It looks like they’re aiming to wrap up New Zealand’s innings quickly to set up what could be an easy chase for the home side.
