The incident happened during the eighth over of India's innings when Abhishek, batting on 27, went hard against Luke Jongwe, only to find a massive top edge. Placed at long-off, Wellington Masakadza charged from the boundary lines, only to make a meal out of a simple catch.
Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza kept on watching the entire incident before shaking hands with him in consolation.
Eventually, Abhishek, who began with a first-ball six, notched up a sensational century before eventually losing his wicket on the next ball. The SRH star smashed eight sixes and seven fours in a superb 47-ball 100 before Masakadza had him during the 14th over of India's innings.
At the time of wriitng this, India are 151/2 in 14.4 overs, with Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rinku Singh in the middle.
