Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have qualified for the playoffs of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 by restricting Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to a total below 200 runs at M Chinnaswamy in their last league game of the season.
In the last over, Yash Dayal had 17 runs in the bank but MS Dhoni welcomed the rookie quick with a 110-meter maximum, before he avenged back with Thala's dismissal. On the following four deliveries, Dayal showcased his nerves of steel by giving just a single to help RCB finish at the fourth place.

Earlier in the game, RCB batters created a mayhem against the Chennai bowlers, putting a gigantic total of 218 runs, where they had to restrict CSK below 200 runs.
The Bengaluru bowlers and fielders changed the tempo of the match by chipping wickets in the middle overs. But, Dhoni and Jadeja took it deep to test Dayal’s nerves.
Dayal’s efforts become even more special as the New Zealand international quick, Lockie Ferguson, went for 18 runs in the penultimate over.
