[Watch] Brilliant Fielding & Miscommunication With Shivam Dube Ends Rachin Ravindra's Tale At 61
RCB jumping after Ravindra's wicket (BCCI)
It seemed Rachin Ravindra would script a heartbreak for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 playoffs. However, a brilliant piece of fielding from Swapnil Singh and a bit of miscommunication with Shivam Dube ended the Kiwi batter's night at 61.
It all happened in the 13th over of the Chennai's innings, when Ravindra worked a ball from Glenn Maxwell in the leg side towards Swapnil at deep square leg. The duo took the first run with some ease, but they found themselves at the non-striker's end as the Kiwi denied his call after calling Dube down.

After Ravindra’s wicket, RCB bowlers found a way to get back in the game, with timely scalps of Dube and Mitchell Santner. But, Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni were fighting it through to take CSK to the playoffs.
The equation for Chennai to get qualified is to score over 200. Meanwhile, Bengaluru would need to restrict them below that. At the time of writing, CSK needs 17 off last six balls to finish in top-four.
