Punjab Kings pacer Harshal Patel beautifully struck and got rid of three Royal Challengers Bangalore batters in an over during the 58th match of the IPL 2024 between RCB and PBKS at the HPCA, Dharamsala on May 9th.

The tide turned in PBKS's favor soon after Virat Kohli was sent back after scoring a commendable 92 runs. The wickets seemed within reach for the PBKS bowler Harshal Patel.

The pivotal moment arrived in the 20th over of RCB's innings where Harshal Patel struck gold. Firstly, he dismissed Dinesh Karthik, who departed after scoring a handy 18 runs as he mistimed the delivery. It was a short of a length ball outside the off stump, where Sam Curran took the catch.

Then, in the fourth ball of the same over, Mahipal Lomror fell for a duck off just 2 balls. Patel nailed a slow yorker that knocked over Lomror, completely deceiving him. Angling it into the off stump from around the wicket, the ball dipped under Lomror's bat to disturb the off stump.

To cap off his brilliant over, Patel ended the stellar innings of Cameron Green in the final ball. Green, who scored 46 runs off 27 balls, attempted to smash a fuller delivery over the wide long-on region but failed to get the required elevation. 

Sam Curran, stationed on the boundary, ran to his right and dived to take a wonderful catch, sending Green back to the pavilion.

RCB posted a mammoth target of 242 for PBKS to chase.
