Legendary Indian batter Virat Kohli had a dream start to his innings during Royal Challengers Bengaluru's ongoing IPL 2024 encounter against Kolkata Knight Riders. 

Opening the batting for the visitors, Kohli took on KKR's premier pacer Harshit Rana, smacking him for a gorgeous six through an incredible hook shot. 

The incident took place during the first over of RCB's innings when Kohli and Du Plessis had just come to form a solid opening stand for the visitors. Kohli began the proceedings on an emphatic note, punishing Rana for boundary and a six. 

After conceding a four on his first ball, Rana made a comeback by going for only two runs in his next four deliveries. However, he unleashed his beast mode soon, concluding the over with a spectacular hook shot. 

It was a well-directed short ball from Rana, as Kohli went onto the back foot, connecting a hook shot. The ball was so well-timed that it sailed into the square leg fence for a picturesque six. 

However, Rana eventually emerged as Kohli's nemesis, controversially dismissing the batter with a high full toss. 

As of writing, the visitors were 35 for one in 2.5 overs, with Du Plessis and Will Jacks batting in the middle.
