As expected, Virat Kohli fever reached an all-time high at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, where the talismanic Indian cricketer made his much-awaited Ranji Trophy comeback against Railways. While his passionate fans echoed 'RCB RCB' chants outside the venue before the game, the cricketing icon received a hero's welcome when he entered the playing area.

However, in a heart-touching moment, one of his most loyal fans breached the security and touched Virat Kohli's feet when he was fielding in the slip cordon. The incident occurred during the twelfth over of Railways' innings when they were reeling at 33 for three after Delhi won the toss and invited them to bat.

As soon as Money Grewal ran in to bowl the second delivery of his over, one of Kohli's fans breached security and invaded the playing area, charging towards the famed cricketer. He managed to touch his idol's feet before the security forcibly took him away off the field.

Meanwhile, Kohli showcased a heartwarming gesture, urging the security not to punish the fan. The moment was caught in camera and instantly went viral on social media.

Kohli, who is the most popular cricketer in India, has witnessed similar incidents in the past. However, the highly intense clash resumed soon after the security pacified the matter at Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Railways Lose 3 Quick Wickets vs Delhi

After winning the toss and opting to bowl, Delhi exhibited remarkable dominance over Railways, scalping three quick wickets. While Anchit Yadav was trapped plumb in front of the stumps, Navdeep Saini and Sidhhant Sharma provided the hosts with prized breakthroughs of Vivek Singh and skipper Suraj Ahuja. As of writing, Railways were 53 for three, with Mohammad Saif and Upendra Yadav 15* and 11*, respectively.
