Travis Head's footwork (Source: Screengrab from JioStar)
Players do get credit for their brilliant footwork while batting, but unfortunately, Travis Head is not one of them. Yet, the Australian opener made headlines on Sunday while representing Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) against Delhi Capitals (DC) in Match 10 of the IPL 2025 at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam.
Travis Head Shows His Footwork Skills Off Strike!
The incident happened during the 4th over of SRH's innings when Mukesh Kumar took the ball. Aniket Verma hit straight to the bowler, and Mukesh somehow managed to touch the ball with his fingertips during the follow-through. Head, against all odds, made sure to get back to the crease.
The replay confirmed the same. Usually, even fast players suffer unfortunate run out in such manner, but Head survived like nobody else.
Head Fails To Last Long! Starc All Over SRH!
However, Head fell on the very next ball after the incident happened, as Mitchell Starc kept on enjoying his success against the Orange Army. Starc breathed fire when he was playing for KKR against SRH in the last year's playoffs, and he kept on wreaking havoc.
At the time of writing this, SRH are 98/4 after 9 overs, with Aniket Verma going strong, batting on 40*. Heinrich Klaasen is batting from another end, on 24*, as SRH kept on playing with an all-out attack despite losing wickets in regular intervals.
