In the ongoing 3rd and final T20I between India and Bangladesh at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, the Men in Blue have wreaked havoc against the visitors as they are eyeing to put 300 runs on the board.
Sanju Samson and Suryakumar Yadav have gone all guns blazing as their 173-run stand for the 2nd wicket scripted several records. Besides reaching the fastest team 100 for India in T20Is, Sanju Samson smashed the second-fastest hundred for the Men in Blue in the shortest format of the game.
On the other hand, Suryakumar Yadav missed out on a well-deserving boundary as he returned to the pavilion after scoring 75 (35), which featured eight fours and five sixes.
The Indian skipper was looking good and was on course to equal Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell's record for joint-most T20I centuries. On the 3rd ball of the 15th over, SKY went for a maximum but could not get the timing he wanted and gave a simple catch to Rishad Hossain. He eventually fell prey to Mahmudullah, who is playing his final T20I match.
Suryakumar Yadav Becomes The 2nd Fastest Indian To 2500 T20I Runs
After his fifty-plus knock against Bangaldesh in the 3rd T20I, SKY also completed 2500 T20I runs. He achieved the feat in his 71st innings. Talking about the fastest, former India skipper Virat Kohli holds that feat as he achieved the feat in 68 innings. Overall, Pakistan's Babar is the fastest for this feat, who achieved it in just 62 innings.
At the time of writing this article, India have scripted the highest total in the history of T20I cricket and are 277/4 after 18.4 overs.
