In the recently concluded Women's T20 World Cup 2024 match between Sri Lanka women and New Zealand women, Kavisha Dilhari has hogged the headlines after she played a dilscoop that reminded the fans of Tilakaratne Dilshan.

Cricket has all sorts of players. Some like the orthodox style of play, while others go the unorthodox way. A few players have made a name for themselves with a signature shot. Helicopter shot for MS Dhoni and a pull shot for Rohit Sharma, and similarly, Dilshan was famous for his Dilscoop, particularly the one he played against Mitchell Starc.

However, since Dilshan has left the international arena, no other player has played that shot. In the latest events, Dilhari turned back the clock and played a beautiful shot over the keeper's head for a boundary.

It occurred on the first ball of the 16th over when Dilhari hit Devine for a boundary that got the crowd going.
