New Zealand's domestic T20 competition, the Super Smash, witnessed a one-sided affair between Wellington Firebirds and Central Stags, where the latter trounced the former by a convincing six-wicket margin. However, besides the Stags' dominance, what grabbed the fans' attention was a remarkable fielding effort from Wellington's Troy Johnson.

The incident occurred in the sixth over of Central Stags' innings when their openers were cruising towards the modest 148-run target set by the Firebirds. While Jack Boyle was hitting boundaries at one end, famed New Zealand opener Will Young was taking some time to set his eyes in the middle.

However, a full length delivery from Michael Snedden drew Young to an aggressive lofted shot off his front foot, as the ball flew towards the straight boundary.

But unfortunately for the batter, Troy Johnson, stationed at mid-on ran backwards and held on to a stunning catch near the ropes. As he was getting off-balanced, Johnson threw the ball in the air just in time, with Nick Kelly completing the catch.

The sensational effort from the duo ensured the Young's departure, as he went back to the dugout with disappointment written all over his face.

Nevertheless, Jack Boyle's breezy fifty and useful cameos from Tom Bruce and Doug Bracewell helped Central Stags chase the target successfully with 3.1 overs to spare.
