Besides thrilling the spectators with intriguing action, this year's Lanka Premier League has also grabbed the limelight for several bizarre reasons, including snakes' invasion of the playing area. 

Not too long ago, an incident of a poisonous snake entering the ground and interrupting the game between Galle Titans and Dambulla Aura scared the players as well as the match officials. A similar event resurfaced on Saturday, as the deadly creature was once again spotted at the same venue, R Premadasa Stadium, during the encounter between B-Love Kandy and Jaffna Kings. 

However, the snake didn't invade the playing area this time, crawling behind the boundary ropes instead. But it was enough to scare the cameraman present there, compelling him to move away from the place.

Watching the snake around the camera, former South African cricketer HD Ackerman, present in the commentary box, quirked, "Maybe he’s come to take over the job from the camera men.”

Although nobody is yet harmed by the snake, its repeated appearance near the boundary ropes has raised serious questions about the security system at the venue. 

Meanwhile, B-Love Kandy recorded a narrow eight-run victory over Jaffna Kings in the game. Batting first, Kandy posted a competitive 178-run total and defended it successfully, thanks to an incredible spell from Angelo Mathews.
