Smriti Mandhana is one of the finest Indian batters of this generation and has shown great form with the bat in the last few months. In the ongoing ODI series against Ireland, she has been in great touch as well and now in the third ODI, smashed her 10th century, scoring 135 off just 80 balls.

However, after scoring a century, she has made a big error by dropping an easy catch of Sarah Forbes. In the first game of the series too, she dropped an easy catch and was guilty of poor fielding in the Women's T20 World Cup couple of months back. The dropped catch in the third ODI came on the second ball of the 10th over.

Smriti Mandhana's Poor Fielding Show Continues

It was a loopy delivery, outside off from Deepti Sharma. Forbes came down the track and went for a big slog across the line. She only managed to get a top edge though and the ball went high in the air towards covers. Smriti Mandhana, the Indian skipper looked set to take the catch as she settled under it nicely.

However, she ended up making a mess of it and dropped a straightforward catch. The star was clearly frustrated by her effort and sat with the ball for a brief moment before walking off in disappointment.

India's fielding has been a cause of worry for a long time now and a player like Smriti Mandhana would like to improve and lead from the front in the future. The Women In Blue have done well with the bat and ball against Ireland in this series and are looking set for a whitewash after posting a massive score of 435 on the board.
