The ongoing Big Bash League (BBL) has witnessed some of the best catches in cricket history and it has also seen some never seen before saves. However, with each passing game, the standars keep getting high and in the ongoing clash, Australian fielder, Lachlan Shaw pulled off a herculean effort to deny a six to the opposition.

In the contest between Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Sixers, the team from Sydney were bowling first and in the contest, youngster Lachlan Shaw saved a six on the bounday ropes, and his effort was certainly the best in the history.

Miraculous save by Shaw

Strikers batter, Alex Ross slog swept a tossed up delivery towards the deep square leg region. The ball connected from the sweet spot of the bat and it was travelling for a six, but fielder, Shaw had some other plans. He was on the edge of the ropes as the ball was heading over his head, but the player leaped in the air and showed his acrobatic skills to parry the ball back as he saved a certain six.

This could be termed as the best save in BBL history as it needed a miraculous fielding effort to stop the boundary from crossing the ropes.

Strikers heading towards a commanding total

Strikers have lost 4 wickets and have scored 140 runs as they head towards a strong total against a resilient Sixers playing XI.

The team lost three early wickets, including that of Matthew Short, but Alex Ross and English star, Ollie Pope save the innings for the Strikers as the duo added 97 runs for the 4th wicket and that has put the team in a strong position.
