What seemed like an endless innings was cut short for the Indian Team as Indian openers Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan were sent back to the pavilion in a quick successions. The opening partnership between the two provided India with an 89-run boost as Ishan Kishan successfully registered his second half century against WI today at the 

Gill who has been going through a rough patch for a while now, departed at yet another low score of 34 runs. The bowler, Gudukesh Motie, delivered a flighted ball aimed at the stumps. Gill advanced down the track, attempting a big shot straight down the ground. However, he failed to reach the pitch of the ball and was unable to connect it well. As a result, the ball went high into the air, and Joseph Alzarri, positioned at long-off, made a safe catch leading to Gill's dismissal and marking India's first wicket loss.
