India is currently facing New Zealand in the second Test of the three-match series. At the end of Day 1 of the game, the Indian team had gained an advantage due to their gritty bowling. The team's position was reflective of the mood of their star batter, Virat Kohli. 

After the end of Day 1, Kohli was seen performing some fun dance moves near the boundary line. His moves entertained the crowd. The New Zealand players were seen going back to the hut and looking at the batter. 

India Ahead In The Game After Day 1

Notably, India was stationed at 16/1 at the end of Day 1. This was after New Zealand batted first on winning the toss. The visitors steadily started their innings but soon lost the plot as the spinners were introduced into the attack.

Washington Sundar starred with the ball. He picked up seven wickets and played a crucial role in the collapse of the Kiwi batting, which resulted in New Zealand being restricted to 259. 

India will be looking to strengthen their hold on the game with their batting effort in the match. They will aim to put a total over at least 350 runs and take a lead that would put the Kiwis under pressure in their second innings.

Notably, this is a crucial match for the Indian team. Trailing the series 1-0, not only does the series' result depend on this game, but the fate of this match will go a long way in determining their qualification chances to the WTC final.
