Indian all-rounder, Shivam Dube, once again started brilliantly with the ball in the second T20 International against Afghanistan at Indore's Holkar Cricket Stadium. Dube, known for his versatility, made an immediate impact in the match, striking in his first over.

IND vs AFG: Dube's clever bowling ensnares Azmatullah Omarzai

Introduced into the attack in the seventh over, Dube bowled a back-of-the-hand slower ball that stayed deceptively low. The smart delivery outfoxed Afghan batsman Azmatullah Omarzai, who misjudged the ball while attempting an aggressive shot.

Omarzai's miscalculation led to the ball sneaking under his bat and hitting the stumps, resulting in his dismissal for a mere 2 runs off 5 balls. Dube's first over was notably economical, conceding just 2 runs and securing a vital wicket for the team.

It is worth mentioning that Dube's current form echoes his performance in the first match of the series, where he achieved impressive bowling figures of 1/9 in two overs. Additionally, he contributed significantly with the bat, scoring a half-century that played a crucial role in securing a victory for India.

At the time of writing this article, Afghanistan, having been put in to bat first, stand at 63/3 after 8 overs. Their opening batsmen, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and captain Ibrahim Zadran, were dismissed for 14 and 8 runs, respectively.

However, Gulbadin Naib showed character, batting at 35 runs off 20 balls, while Mohammad Nabi had just joined him at the crease. The Indian bowlers will look to maintain pressure and restrict Afghanistan to under 150 runs. On the other hand, Afghanistan will rely on its experienced duo in the middle to propel the team to a competitive score of around 180 in order to challenge India's strong batting lineup.
