Australian T20 veteran Shaun Marsh turned back the clock by packing yet another batting masterclass, this time against Adelaide Strikers in match number 18 of the ongoing BBL 2023-24 season

Turning up for Melbourne Renegades at Docklands Stadium, the cricketer pounded 54 runs from just 33 deliveries and steered his side to a thrilling four-wicket win after the team's early setbacks in their challenging run-chase.

At one stage of his knock, Marsh even swatted Strikers' spinner Cameron Boyce with successive sixes and a boundary to surge his side past the 100-run mark in just the ninth over of the innings.

Shaun Marsh goes big to win it for Renegades

Shaun Marsh, batting at number four for Melbourne Renegades, pulverised Adelaide Strikers' attack with a scintillating 33-ball 54-run knock at the Docklands Stadium.

The elegant southpaw pumped out three boundaries and four sixes, including two maximums in succession against Strikers' spinner Cameron Boyce to signal his aggressive run-chase intent early in his innings.

After pinching just 11 runs from his first 12 balls of the match, Marsh belted Boyce for two huge sixes off consecutive deliveries over long-on before dispatching the spinner's shorter length delivery in front of square for a sizzling boundary.

At the end of his three-ball batting bombardment, the cricketer blitzed to 27* from just 15 balls and extended the Renegades total past the 100-run mark by the end of the ninth over of the run-chase.
