[Watch] Sarfaraz Khan Hugs Father After Receiving Maiden Test Cap Ahead Of Rajkot Test

As expected, India handed out Test debuts to batter Sarfaraz Khan and wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel in the ongoing third Test against England at Rajkot. Both Jurel and Sarfaraz received their maiden Team India Test cap from former legend and coach Anil Kumble before the start of play on Day 1.

Sarfaraz, who, after years of dishing out runs in domestic cricket, finally earned his Test debut, witnessed a harm-warming moment between himself and his father.

After receiving the cap, Sarfaraz went straight to his father, Mr. Naushad Khan, and hugged him tightly before the latter kissed the former's Test cap. Sarfaraz also had his wife for support, who could hold her tears and was seen crying over her husband's debut.

The clip ended with a memorable family photograph, which brought a smile across each fan's face present in the stadium, and watching on television or various digital platforms.

India went on to win the toss, with skipper Rohit Sharma opting to bat first. India made several changes, bringing in the likes of Mohammed Siraj, and Ravindra Jadeja into the XI, apart from Sarfaraz and Jurel.

As of writing, India have found themselves in trouble, losing Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shubman Gill for 10 and 0, respectively.
