The Manchester Originals Women are playing against the London Spirit Women in the 23rd match of The Women's Hundred 2024 at iconic Lord's Cricket Ground in London. The Spirit won the toss in the game and opted to field first. 

The Originals did not have a great start to their innings as Laura Wolvaardt was dismissed early by Charlie Dean. The wickets kept on falling for them and as a result the innings never really got going. Evelyn Jones batting at number four had a crucial role to play for the team. However, it was Sarah Glenn's brilliance that cut short the stay of Jones in the middle.

On the second ball of the seventh set, Glenn tossed up a delivery at the off and middle stump line to Jones. The batter was trying to push it down the ground for a single. However, she played the shot early and as a result ball went in the air back towards the bowler. The ball was dipping on the bowler. However, Glenn reacted quickly and dived forward to take a stunning catch and end Jones' stay in the middle. 

The misery continued for the Originals as the march of the batters to and from the crease continued. Kathryn Bryce was the only to show a bit of resilience in the middle-order as she scored a gutsy 32 off 27. The Originals were able to post 112/7 at the end of their 100 balls.
