The 13th match of the IPL witnessed Rizvi's dismissal in the 14th over, just after the wicket of Ajinkya Rahane. Mukesh Kumar claimed Rizvi's wicket, marking a significant setback for CSK. Despite a dream debut where Rizvi showcased his boundary-hitting prowess against Gujarat Titans, he couldn't navigate through Kumar's bowling onslaught.

Earlier in the match, Delhi Capitals posted a formidable total of 191/5 in their 20 overs at the Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA–VDCA Stadium. The DC skipper, Rishabh Pant, played a pivotal role in anchoring the innings with a brilliant half-century, ensuring a strong finish for his team.
