In the on-going BBL 2024 clash between Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Stars, Sam Harper stole the limelight as he played an outrageous shot that left everyone mesmerised. The shot emulated Indian player, Suryakumar Yadav's play of style as he hit a big maximum behind the keeper's head.
Sam Harper, the wicket-keeper batter, made good 46 runs off 36 balls, however missed out on a well-deserving half-century. He impressed everyone with his cracking performance, which saw him hit maximums and boundaries in every nook and corner of the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
In the fifth over, Will Prestwidge bowled it on the hard length, Harper picked it up from the line of the stumps, backed across and use the raw pace to ramp it over fine leg for a big maximum. He connected it so well and scooped it over the keeper's head hitting the sightscreen.

Brisbane Heat Need 163 Runs To Win
Melbourne Stars posted 162/6 in their 20 overs, with Beau Webster’s unbeaten 28 off 19 balls playing a crucial role at the end. Brisbane Heat’s bowlers, particularly Xavier Bartlett and Mitchell Swepson, kept the Stars in check. Bartlett took 3 wickets, including key dismissals during the Power Surge, while Swepson was economical, conceding just 15 runs in his 4 overs.
Joe Clarke (32) and Sam Harper (46) put on a solid partnership for the Stars, but Heat’s bowlers struck back, dismissing key players like Marcus Stoinis and Hilton Cartwright, putting the chase firmly in their hands.
