In an unfortunate incident, Pakistan's promising opener Mohammad Huraira received a serious blow on his helmet while fielding during the second Test against West Indies in Multan. After the blow, Huraira instantly walked off the field, raising concerns regarding his availability for the remainder of the match.

Huraira Undergoes Concussion Test After Serious Blow

The incident occurred during the 23rd over of West Indies' innings when the visitors were reeling at 75 for eight, with Kemar Roach and Gudakesh Motie batting in the middle. After starting his over with a dot ball, Abrar Ahmed bowled a tossed up delivery around the middle and leg stump.

As Motie went down on his knees and played a fierce sweep shot, the ball struck Mohammad Huraira on his helmet near the forehead region. The opener complained of pain and was immediately attended by the team physio.

After a brief treatment, the right-handed batter was forced to leave the field in the morning session on day 1 of the Test match.

What Will Be Pakistan's Batting Order If Huraira Doesn't Return?

Although the severity of Huraira's injury has yet to be disclosed, it won't be surprising if he doesn't come out to open the batting for Pakistan in the first innings. West Indies have already lost eight wickets; so, Huraira might not get enough time to recover from the blow.

In such a scenario, Pakistan's number three batter Babar Azam might open the innings with skipper Shan Masood, with the likes of Kamran Ghulam, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan and Agha Salman following them in the lineup.
