Punjab Kings sustained their poor batting form in the IPL 2024, putting up another disappointing performance in their ongoing group-stage clash against Gujarat Titans at Mullanpur. 

Stand-in skipper Sam Curran's decision to bat first backfired on the hosts as they lost half of their side inside twelve overs. 

While their pacers had an off day with the new ball, the Titans massively benefitted from their spinners' excellence, with Rashid Khan, Noor Ahmad and Sai Kishore running through the Kings' middle order. 

The Afghan spinners dismantled Punjab's famed overseas trio- Sam Curran, Rilee Rossouw and Liam Livingstone, while Sai Kishore castled Jitesh Sharma with a beauty. 

The incident occurred during the twelfth over of Punjab's innings when they were tottering at 86 for four. After conceding a six on his first ball, Sai Kishore bowled two consecutive dots to put pressure back on Jitesh. 

He tossed the fourth ball up in the air, drawing Jitesh for an aggressive shot. The keeper-batter fell in the trap, as he stepped out of the crease only to get beaten comprehensively. 

The ball spun sharply, shattering Jitesh's stumps and leaving him shell-shocked. Soon after outfoxing the batter, the left-arm spinner celebrated it in style with Thalapathy Vijay's unique dance steps. 

As of writing, PBKS were reeling at 97 for six in 15 overs, with Shashank Singh and Harpreet Singh Bhatia unbeaten in the middle.
