Sahibzada Farhan is often known for his controversial celebrations and unique gestures on the field. His latest on-field antic, however, backfired big time as the Pakistani top-order batter got humbled by an uncapped Bangladesh fast bowler in match number 26 of the BPL 2025-26 season.
Opening the innings for Rajshahi Warriors alongside Tanzid Hasan, Sahibzada Farhan got off to a cracking start, racing to 14* off 11 balls before he decided to rile up a 25-year-old Ruyel Miah in the fourth over of the game. Miah eventually got the better of Farhan by getting him caught by Salman Irshad inside the inner circle.
Ruyel Miah humbles Sahibzada Farhan in fiery BPL 2025-26 exchange
It all began when Rajshahi Warriors opener Sahibzada Farhan launched Sylhet Titans fast bowler Ruyel Miah for a huge six in the fourth over of the match at the Sher-e Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. After blocking the follow-up delivery from Miah, Farhan mocked the uncapped Bangladeshi pacer with the famous gesture, ‘You can’t see me’.
As it turned out, Sahibzada Farhan mistimed the ball the very next delivery, and got caught down by Salman Irshad inside the inner circle as Ruyel Miah had the last laugh, delivering an immediate on-field response to the taunt. Ruyel celebrated the wicket by lying down on the ground before getting mobbed by his Sylhet Titans teammates.

Sahibzada Farhan ended up scoring just 14 runs from 12 balls with a boundary and a six as the Rajshahi Warriors slipped to 27-2 in 3.3 overs with the loss of both openers. Farhan’s latest batting failure marked his fourth underwhelming outing with the bat for the Warriors this BPL 2025-26 season.
So far, the attacking right-handed batter has aggregated just 101 runs in five innings at a dismal average of 20.20 and a strike rate of 126.25. Notably, the 29-year-old scored 65 of those runs from 46 balls in a single game against Rangpur Riders earlier this month in Sylhet on January 1.
Sahibzada Farhan’s thrust with controversies
Before getting humbled by a young Bangladesh fast bowler in the BPL 2025-26 season, Sahibzada Farhan got bested by Indian bowlers after he adopted a similar provocative approach in last year’s 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup in the UAE.
After reaching his half-century against Team India in the Super Four stage of the tournament at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai on September 21, Farhan celebrated his fifty with a controversial gun-trotting celebration. Farhan’s gesture occurred in the aftermath of a four-day cross-border standoff between India and Pakistan, which itself stemmed from the deadly terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam earlier that year.
While the Pakistani batter hogged the limelight for his controversial celebrations, his team itself got pummelled by Team India in the game by a comprehensive six-wicket margin. Moreover, the Indian team also flogged Pakistan in the final of the 2025 Asia Cup to lift the continental silverware for the record ninth time.
