In the second Test between Pakistan and West Indies at the Multan Cricket Stadium, Mohammad Rizwan’s lapse in judgement became a turning point. The Pakistani batter was left stunned as he was stumped after falling to a brilliant piece of bowling from Jomel Warrican.

The day had started on a high note for Pakistan. Their bowlers dismantled the West Indies’ batting lineup, restricting them to 163 runs. Nauman Ali was the star with the ball, delivering an exceptional spell, taking 6 wickets for just 41 runs.

However, Pakistan’s joy didn’t last long as their batting lineup collapsed early. The top order crumbled to 51-4, leaving the team in trouble. Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan tried to stabilise the innings with a crucial 68-run partnership. Shakeel, however, fell for 24 runs, leaving Rizwan as Pakistan’s last hope.

The pivotal moment came in the 41st over of Pakistan’s first innings. Jomel Warrican bowled a beautifully tossed-up delivery around off stump. The ball gripped, turned, and deceived Rizwan, who stepped out to drive it to long-off, aiming to complete his half-century. However, the change of pace caught him off guard, and he missed the ball entirely. Wicketkeeper Imlach made no mistake behind the stumps, and Rizwan was stumped for 49 runs.

West Indies Strike Back Against Pakistan

This wicket was a game-changer for West Indies. With Rizwan’s dismissal, Pakistan lost their last stronghold. They were soon bundled out for 155, trailing by 9 runs. Warrican was the hero for the visitors, finishing with impressive figures of 4 wickets, cementing his impact on the game.
