Everyone was talking about Rishabh Pant and MS Dhoni throughout the IPL 2024 clash between CSK and DC on Sunday evening. Both the master and his apprentice hogged all the limelight by performing valiantly, leaving the Vizag crowd to erupt.

And Pant did a few things that reminded fans of MS Dhoni quite a lot. The first thing which he did was playing a helicopter shot for six during his first half-century, and then, while keeping, he attempted a no-look run out, something which Dhoni often did in his younger days.

The incident happened when Mukesh Kumar threw the ball at non-striker's end, and Ajinkya Rahane was on his way to complete a double. The veteran batter, after coming to chase 192, was in sublime touch, and was hungry to be in the middle.

Had Rahane not put the desperate dive, he would have been gone, as Pant successfully broke the stumps after collecting the ball without looking at it.

Meanwhile, DC defeated CSK by 20 runs, with Dhoni smashing a brilliant 16-ball 37 not out to take CSK to 171/6.
